So, it is late, and I am finishing up a postcard project for my free-lance work. Nothing too exciting. Need to head to bed soon. Updated this Blog page, making it worthy to be on the net. Hope the world likes it.

I found this fun animation site. They take movies and tell the whole story in 30 seconds with rabbits! Crazy huh?
“It’s a Wonderful Life” is a good one. Some of the others are pretty violent though, so beware! You can take a look at the others at this address http://www.angryalien.com/

Is there hope for Disney’s animation future? I personally am in doubt. Really, it is not their animation that is the issue, it is their stories! Everything seems to turn into a “follow your heart” story. I was reading an article in Animation World Magazine discussing Disney’s upcoming movies, and their future goals in 3D. One of these 3D movies will be a fairy tale, Rapunzel (hum… Disney’s never done one of those before). The article states that the director Glen Keane is, “going back to Rapunzel’s literary origins to do a traditional, character-driven fairy tale that speaks to a modern audience (Sounds like Shrek?). ‘It’s a story of the need for each person to become who they are supposed to be and for a parent to set them free so they can become that. It will be a musical and a comedy and have a lot of heart and sincerity. I think that’s what Disney needs to do right now. No one else can do it. We should not be embarrassed or making excuses for doing a fairy tale. And making it our way would be a new way. ” Ok did anyone else get the “follow your heart” theme in his comment?! If you want to see what Disney has in store for the future check out this AWM article. Maybe they should look at Pixar and their stories as an foundation?

This is a great site for cleaver and comical Flash Animation! Check out the link “sb emails”(Strong Bad’s Emails). The one called “dragon” is one of my favorites; Strong Bad teaches how to draw a dragon.

I am back doing more sports related stuff. I am not a sports kind of guy, but lately I seem to be doing quite a bit of sports related programs. I am currently working on a program that will be teaching Coaches about how to be a STAR player…or how to teach their athletes about being good sports (STAR Coaching). This will just be just one of the porgrams in the STAR Sportmanship series, which LetterPress Software is designing for Learning Through Sports. In the past I did the STAR Sportsmanship (for kids) program all in Flash, but I think this time I will try to do some of my animations with a program called Moho. Well, that’s all for now. Maybe I’ll post some of my animation tests if I have time?
